Sports massage therapy is not just for athletes, it’s suitable for everyone. Whether you’re an office worker, a construction worker or a professional athlete, using specific massage techniques we can get you feeling yourself again.
I am a fully qualified level 3 and level 4 therapist with an exceptional amount of experience within the sporting industry. This is due to my team GB sporting background alongside life experiences such as a sports and exercise science degree and an ongoing teaching career.
SPORTS MASSAGE THERAPY
Sports massage aims to stretch tight muscles, stimulate inactive muscles and improve soft tissue condition. Sports massage enables you to move your body more freely therefore enhancing your posture to restrict further tension. Treatment is extremely effective for sports participants as it enhances performance by allowing a greater range of motion, while both assisting recovery and preventing injury. These benefits also apply to non-active clients as during day to day situations we often place our muscle in a shortened/lengthened state, this often creates tight spots causing pain, aches, and tension.

Deep tissue massage may be relevant for you if you are suffering from chronic pains/tension or adhesions (knots). This style of massage will break down any scar tissue or adhesions allowing your body to dispose of them following treatment. Deep tissue massage is most commonly used on people that have built up a lot of tension throughout years of work or activity.
